» New Visions 2010-2011: Call for Proposals!
The NM Film Office is now accepting proposals for the New Visions/New Mexico 2010-2011 Contract Awards. NM Filmmakers can apply for up to $20,000 in funding for their original film projects out of a total pool of $100,000. Postmark deadline for applications is October 8, 2010 – no hand-delivered, faxed or e-mailed applications will be accepted. Please see Governor’s press release, then download the NV Application, and accompanying documents here: Panavision Award, Submission Agreement & Declaration of Residency. Free seminars about preparing a New Visions proposal are taking place around the state! All interested applicants are strongly encouraged to attend*:

» NM Filmmakers Showcase 2010 – Winning Films Tour!
Congratulations to all of our talented local filmmakers honored in this year’s Showcase! The NM Film Office has begun traveling the six winning films around the state as part of our 2010 tour. Click here to view the press release with winners’ list and see below for upcoming dates and locations. The NM Filmmakers Program has also announced a new collaboration with Encantada Television, Las Cruces Channel 98 and Espanola’s Canal Seis (Channel 6) to televise the winning films from our 2010 Showcase this summer, as well as the winning films from our New Visions/New Mexico awardees of years’ past. The total running time for all winning films to be presented is three hours plus time allotted for Q&A. These screenings are open to all New Mexicans free of charge. We hope to see you there!

The 2010 NM Music in Film Summit will take place on Friday, September 24th from 1:00 - 5:00 PM at the Lensic Theater in Santa Fe. Hosted by the NM Music Commission, NM Film Office, NM Tourism Department and the Lensic Theater, this event will be free and open to the public. Price Reduction! Listings are now only $5 per category (four categories maximum.)

Listings will be valid for one calendar year (expiration December 31).
