REFRESHER FOR EXPERIENCED SET DRESSERS / SWING GANG
Department: Set Decorating
Pre-requisites: NM residents that have a feature film or television credit as Swing Gang, Set Dresser, On-Set Dresser or Lead Person.
Attendees must have also attended a general safety class.
BASIC KNOTS FOR GRIPS
Department: Grips, Art, Props
Pre-requisites: NM residents that have a short film, feature film or television credit as a Grip, Rigging Grip, Swing Gang, Props Person (or higher).
Residents currently enrolled in or have graduated from a local film technician program may also be considered.
Participants must have also attended a general safety class.
SPECIALTY/PERIOD HAIR & WIGS
Department: Hair
Pre-requisites: NM residents that have a feature film or television credit as Assistant Hair (or higher).
Participants must have also attended a general safety class.
ADVANCED MAKE-UP
Department: Make-up
Pre-requisites: NM residents that have a short film, feature film or television credit as Assistant Make-up (or higher).
Residents currently enrolled in or have graduated from a local film technician program may also be considered.
Focus: air-brush systems; bruises, basic cuts; facial hair and faux-tattoos may also be addressed
Participants must have also attended a general safety class.
RESPIRATORY PROTECTION
Departments: Open - Construction, Paint, Props, Greens, Art, Make-up
Pre-requisites: NM residents that have a short film, feature film or television credit. Partipants must have also attended a general safety class.
Residents currently enrolled in or have graduated from a local film technician program may also be considered.
DIMMER BOARD OPERATION
Department: Set Lighting
Pre-requisites: NM residents that have a short film, feature film or television credit as a Set Lighting Technician/Electrician or higher.
Residents currently enrolled in or have graduated from a local film technician program may also be considered.
Participants must have also attended a general safety class.
WORKING WITH THE BOOM
Department: Sound
Pre-requisites: NM residents that have a short film, feature film or television credit as Cable/Utility Sound person or higher.
Residents currently enrolled in or have graduated from a local film technician program may also be considered.
Participants must have also attended a general safety class.
TELEPROMPTER OPERATION
Department: Grip, Sound, Video or Set Lighting
Pre-requisites: NM residents that have a short film, feature film or television credit in one of these crafts.
Residents currently enrolled in or have graduated from a local film technician program may also be considered.
Participants must have also attended a general safety class
TWO DAY WORKSHOPS
THREE DAY GROUND RIGGING WORKSHOP IN SANTA FE
Department: Grip, Rigging Grip & Rigging Electric
Pre-requisites: NM residents that have basic rigging and knot tying skills and experience from film, arenas and/or theatres.
Participants must have also attended a general safety class. Those with aerial lift, fall protection and scaffolding safety cards preferred.
